First Taste: I’ve never had a beer from this brewery so I was pretty excited when I saw it at the store. I got it in a mixed 6 pack. Its a highly drinkable beer that goes down light. Its good but subdued across the board. Easy balance, easy carbonation, easy body; this beer is easy. I get the amber-wheat thing in the flavor profile and the beer is called Red Dawn..so its going for a Red, Wheat, Amber mixed deal and all 3 styles are equally represented if you ask me. You get slight sweet notes of caramel and candied malts. You also get a slight bitter after taste that balances the sweet. I sort of got a Red/Brown thing in my mouth. For what its trying to be – a drinkable, well balanced, lightly presented brew, its great; but if you’re looking for bold and exciting, or something heavy, this might not be it. You gotta try it though.
