SOUND DETOUR, STEREOTALK, CUSTOMERS, THE SECRET SHAKES

Here are some videos of our show about a month back featuring Sound Detour, Stereotalk, The Secret Shakes and Customers.. We like to have some diversity in the shows we host and I think this really was the perfect lineup. Each band came with a different sound and different musical backgrounds but they all feature some aspects that compliment the other bands.

The Secret Shakes (if you find them online, let me know) was a brand new band (2nd show ever); they include members of various other local bands and a couple dudes just in The Secret Shakes. They were awesome in my opinion, mixing a soulful, blues like sound with some bad ass, jazz inspired guitar.  You can find Sound Detour and Stereotalk playing shows together quite often around town. Sound Detour is a hip-hop based dance group. They really are hard to classify so check them out. I think they are a band you have to see live to really appreciate what they bring. Stereotalk is a hip-hop, rock hybrid band that has fine tuned an original sound. Customers is made up of some seasoned Atlanta greats including members of Heart Attacks and Carbonas. They play a quick paced, post punk garage sound but really manage to mix in some more dancy themes than most bands in the genre. That, I think, is what sets them apart from the pack. They have been playing shows quite often around town for a while and have really created a steadfast fan base. Check out the videos from the show…
