From the Organizers and Ale Yeah! :: “We are beyond thrilled to be on the ground floor of the first ever Blast Beats & Brews Beer & Metal Festival to be held Saturday, May 21st, at The Beer Growler in Avondale Estates in the year of our demon lord, 2022! Beer and heavy metal music are two of the things closest to our black hearts, so at this intersection we will gladly sell our souls for some tasty brews and riffs alike. For those with a raised curious eyebrow, this will be behind and next to The Beer Growler, not inside, an outdoor block party with live music, craft beer and plenty of art vendors, so there will be plenty of room to stretch your legs & bang your head. Ticket info can be found HERE.
Participating breweries include: Little Cottage, Cherry St Brewing, Orpheus, The Lost Druid, Fire Maker, Second Self, Piedmont Brewery & Kitchen and Jekyll Brewing. Live performances will feature all local Atlanta acts and will be headlined by power thrash legends Paladin with support from the fashion conscious Queens of the Sky The Valkyrie, death metal titans Awaken The Ancient, the shake-your-hip sounds of Inviolate, riff monsters Black Candle and the Progressive Sci-Fi exploration of Scorched Moon.
Since this is the inaugural fest we have teamed up with several of the participating breweries and will be offering special, one-off collabeeration beers brewed especially for festival goers! A return of our Vulgar Display Of Barley collab with Twain’s, a reimagination of a previous collab with Piedmont called The Lira-cist, an Italian Pilsner as well as Emperor of Mayhem, a Black (metal) IPA with Second Self as well an infinitely crushable SMASH Pale Ale with Fire Maker called The River Dragon Has Come.
Admission for this horn throwing day of awesomeness is a mere $30 and tickets can be acquired HERE! Grab yours today, put the final stitches on your battle vest and join us for what’s sure to become an annual exploration into Atlanta’s vibrant beer and metal scene!”
