The track is a funk filled blues rock extravaganza with scratchy vocals very reminiscent of a Black Keys anthem or if you’re from Atlanta, a Dead Rabbits’ (RIP) soul rock psychedelic crossover. Edgy lyrics, hard hitting drums and a bad ass guitar solo round out this feet thumping, fist bumping far reaching sound.
 

 
TRUETT Bio excerpt: “Years ago, when he was still just a boy, Truett was briefly kidnapped by Ron Pope and his band, The District. A child prodigy on guitar, Truett traveled around Georgia sitting in with the band (who had strict instructions from Truett’s mother to make sure he didn’t “drink, smoke, take drugs, or have sex”). That journey marked the beginning of a brotherhood that is finally bearing fruit with “Be Mine,” Truett’s debut single on Brooklyn Basement Records (co-written and produced by Pope). The song features Godzilla-sized guitar tone pummeling a larger than life riff, powered by an angular, sticky groove punctuated by Truett’s hell hound on my trail moan and mind bending guitar pyrotechnics…”
 
press release :: Brooklyn Basement Records artist, TRUETT, announced that his first major EP will be released September 23 and will be titled “Be Mine.”
After touring across Europe and the U.S. for the first three months of the year with label co-founder, mentor and artist, Ron Pope, TRUETT has finalized the plan for the release of his four-song project, which features his lead single, “Be Mine.”
“I can’t put into words how much time and passion has gone into this EP; I’m so excited I get to finally share it with the world,” says TRUETT, “I think this EP captures everything I have been working towards for a long time; I’m blessed to have had the opportunity to work with all the people that it took to put it together!” TRUETT continues.
TRUETT’s next single, “Left In The Dark” will be released on May 13 and will be available to pre-order on April 29.
