Last week was another one of BoStylz’ infamous concert series, this one aptly named the ‘Crown of Horns’ festival. Five insane metal bands played that night at Lenny’s bar on DeKalb Avenue, in the following order: Eyes of Torment, Carosis, Alternator, Desolet Chronicle and Psalm of the Fallen. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to stay for Desolet Chronicle and Psalm of the Fallen, but I’m sure they rocked the house just as hard as the first three.
The first band, Eyes of Torment, is a 5 piece group self described as a ‘Metal/Hardcore/Progressive/HelloKittyWonderWhistle band.’ Lol. They were great. Here is an interview from the guys.
As you can tell, these are some metal dudes. Here is a video of one of their songs from the show, entitled ‘Martyr for Freedom’.
Eyes of Torment completely rocked the house with their heavy tracks and anthems. Be sure to check their metal asses out at http://www.myspace.com/eyesoftorment.
The next band to play was Carosis. These guys were in much the same vein as Eyes of Torment, and also tore up the floor, making shreds out of thin air. We were lucky enough to get an interview with them too, check it out here.
Following are two videos of Carosis, off of their album, the first named ‘Taken’ and the second ‘Aftermath’. Check them out if you’re into thrash and rhythm metal music.
Carosis is from Loganville, are Death Metal, Grindcore metal and are really cool guys, I strongly encourage you to check out their myspace at http://www.myspace.com/carosisband for some upcoming shows and go out and see some more of the metal scene.
The third band Alternator are veterans in the circuit, and it is obvious from their live set that they have been playing metal for some time. They are from Calhoun, Georgia and are described as Rock/Metal/Hardcore as per their myspace page, which is http://www.myspace.com/alternator1. They too rocked the house, and we were blessed to get a video of them posted here:
Be sure to see some of their upcoming shows. As for the other two bands, I didn’t get to catch but definitely want to give them a prop out for playing the show. Here are links to their myspace pages.

Thanks to all the bands for being awesome, and a special thanks to Karl Thomas Knott from the Bone Church for helping me run camera for the show.
