Last Friday we made it out to the As the House… release show at the Drunken Unicorn. This Piano Plays Itself (TPPI) put on an amazing show. Nomen Novum (see a video of Nomen Novum at the show below on this page) opened up followed by Untied States. Untied States was the perfect lead-in for TPPI with their somewhat psychedelic, spacey post punk approach…

This Piano Plays Itself took the stage last, letting everyone know they would be playing their new album. As The House… is a great live album and I would recommend heading out to a TPPI show very soon. The guys really mix well together after a few lineup changes and you can tell they have put a lot into the new album. Its been 2 years since their debut, self titled release and its easy to see that they have found themselves as a band. Instead of the sophomore slump associated with many bands, TPPI has come out with an epic, well thought out composition of spaced out melodies and even spacier vocals.
