This is one of my favorite charities to donate to and attempt to bring some awareness. Our government wouldn’t have you know but joining the 5000+ deaths in the Afghanistan and Iraq wars, is tens of thousands of more soldiers that have been seriously injured and maimed and lost limbs. TENS of THOUSANDS … and they need the help of the entire U.S. citizenry. Our government puts our friends and children and mothers and fathers in harms way in the name of you and me and everyone in the U.S. and our collective freedom. Agree with the president and the wars or not, it is in our interest to take the best of care of our returning soldiers; especially the wounded ones. So I challenge you to skip your next fast food meal, skip your next cell phone upgrade, skip whatever it is you can skip and put that money toward helping a wounded veteran. Trust me, you’ll feel great about it. They take donations no matter how large or small. Just think, right now, there is a 2 year backup in our military veterans getting wartime benefits that they are owed immediately. Its shameful to say the least, and we can help.
