Charity and Beer: Sweetwater Brewery: Great Beer for a Great Cause

A great friend of Sweetwater Brewery and a local chef and an along great guy recently passed away from cancer. His name was Ryan Hidinger. He started and ran The Giving Kitchen and The Staplehouse. The Giving Kitchen is an organization that provides grants for local restaurant owners that need a helping hand. The Staplehouse was his dream restaurant that he envisioned with his wife. I didn’t know Ryan but he sounds like an amazing guy and you can read a really great story about him and his friends at Sweetwater Brewery on AJC.com here. With help from and in coordination with Sweetwater, Ryan was developing a beer to go along with some of his recipes. They decided on a double IPA that sounds very tasty and debuts around Atlanta TONIGHT, at various bars and restaurants. You’ll also be able to find it around town in beer shops, package stores and grocery stores. 100% of the beer’s sale proceeds will go to The Giving Kitchen. The beer is called SECOND HELPING and you should go get one tonight!
