Some said these two bands together didn’t fit, but I think they’re perfect for each other. Both uniquely blur genre lines and, while in different ways, manage to add a sense of mystery to their melodies. Hip to Death have the morbidness twisting throughout their awesomely creepy lyrics and tunes; and you’ve heard me talk about the affects of the progressive punk visionaries we know as the Sneaky Hand…and you will continue to hear so on this music blog. I’ve seen the Sneaky Hand 4 times now since June, and 3 times in the last month. I can’t wait for the next show (see out featured show flyer above). Each time they impress more than the last so don’t be surprised when you read beatlanta and see SNEAKY HAND, SNEAKY HAND, SNEAKY HAND. I kid…mostly. I’ve seen Hip to Death a ton now too, super talented and straight dope…always an amazing show.
Also playing this show was Teenage Illiterates (you can find videos below) and R_Garcia (full band). R_Garcia was amazing. I caught the last two songs and had my camera ready and on when the last song ended and….oh fuck, they’re done. I was pissed at myself for not getting video because it was so awesome. I’ll catch them again soon.
BEATLANTA.COM – the next best thing to being there…YUP.
