We recently hosted the one and only Detroit Mutant Radio for a beatlanta house show. New band Black the Sky and Anthem warmed up the party goers and then DTM took over…one of the hypest crowds we’ve had in the house. Detroit Mutant Radio puts on a show. They please crowds. The type of band that need smoke machines and pyrotechnics and shit. They’re out there, they’re in our face and there pumpin out tunes that turn ears and make moves. The band mixes motown, pop and heavy rock sounds with Mr. Creech’s smooth whirlwind style vocals; they have two guitars, a bass, drums, a singer and a DJ (their DJ did not play this show due to space issues) filling rooms and shaking walls with an unrepeated take on what a band should sound like. You’re talking the funkiest bass lines under the jazziest, class filled guitar riffs. Mr. Creech on vocals is a regular chameleon with his style jumping from Zack de la Rocha like flow to refined motown sootheness without skipping a beat. Picture Rage Against the Machine mixed with Incubus with 4 different singers…I kid but these dudes really have that larger than life appeal. Cool dudes off stage too…enjoy a couple videos from the house show….
