Beatlanta visits at least 1 local brewery or brewpub a month and we’d like to start highlighting our visits. This visit to Three Taverns Brewery in Decatur took place a while back. I have since visited many more breweries but up to that time, Three Taverns was a bit more polished and professional looking than some that I have visited. Not to mention they are one of my favorite beer makers in Georgia (I love Belgians).
Their tasting room is a brick and wood surround with sort of a cabin feel to it. There is plenty of standing room, seats outside for when its warmer and an upstairs loft area overlooking the main tasting room. It was fairly easy to get your next taste filled as none of the lines were too long.
The brewing room was very clean, organized and pleasing to the eye…no untidy areas at all. They have a pretty large setup and a bottling machine in the room as well. The tour leader was the brew master so he was very knowledgeable and knew his stuff.
It was an awesome time and you come away knowing a lot about their brewing process…and the beers are awesome too!
