From Tim on the song – ‘I wrote Step Outside during a time in my life where everything was disintigrating in front of me…..My band had just dropped me, my relationship was ending, and I was failing at making a living as a musician. The song was written out of the personal longing to “step outside” of the toxic place that my brain was becoming and to rise above the dark place I was in…to “wash my filthy hands and move on” to a better place and purer state of mind…to find that place of true serenity that I desperately hoped existed inside of me.’
I think Tim has definitely found his serenity, and we at BeAtlanta wish him well in his musical career. Go see McNary because he is definitely on his way up and always shows the audience an amazing time.
