LAERTES – interview and more…

Each time I have seen Laertes they have been on game. They play mostly instrumental music but have mixed in some lyrics from time to time. The show Laertes provides is beautiful and sincere, exceeding and skyward. I was especially impressed this time around. I was pleased the first time I saw them but, as with any talented band I guess, they seem to have perfected what they do just that much more; plus I was able to pay better attention, and that can’t hurt. They create a permissive, high but heavy sound with amazing lead-ins and break-downs. Their music is layer upon layer of melodious euphoria; culminating in climactic sweet points that lift you up and then bring you down…softly; the apogee of sound, seeming to please all who listen. I like Laertes and you should too…you’ll smile more.
