These two songs are delightful. Both highlight Jungol’s spacier side and excellent use of an array of elements layered to create their signature sound. I thought the first one shows off the band’s sensual side with a more groovy feel. The 2nd one starts out the same…groovy, but builds into something heavier. Listen for the bass line because it…uh, rocks…then he switches to the keys and the whale like synthy sounds peacefully carry you on a wave into the heavy stuff. Its a great song. Its great to hear new songs out of these guys. I was talking to some folks the other day, including members of a band I was interviewing, and it was all agreed that Jungol is at the top of the list of great Atlanta bands for a reason…because we all think they’re headed somewhere with their music. The show was packed out as usual and the floor was shaking more than I can recall for most shows at the Earl. People were moving. Great show, inspiring music.

Watch this one to the end. The instrumental breakdowns mixed with the amazing light set make for a good video…and just wait till you see it live.
