As with our first review, this review is one of our ‘old school’ reviews before we developed our review format…so this one is a little sloppy but I want to get these up or folks to read before we start our formal review format. So here it goes…
Blue Moon Rounder – A Belgian style Pale Ale brewed with Orange Peel and Hibiscus, Cascade Hops, multiple Malts used.
ABV: 5.6%
IBUs: 30
Food Pairing: grilled beef, goat cheese
The beer had a light, fluffy head and a malty/musty aroma. Its reddish-brown in color with the perception of a light beer; you could see through the glass when holding it to light.
The first taste hits you with hops and is a bit bitter. It has a slight spice that sticks with you for the after taste. The hibiscus and orange peel was sort of hard to pick up on at first but as I continued with the beer I started to pick it up; mostly the orange peel. The beer kept it’s taste and holds it’s flavor really well. Overall its a great beer and I recommend trying it.
