part 2…
Psychedubasaurus REX – featured members of 13 Day Mission (Bret Phillips who is the master behind the festival as well), Odist and Miles from Pangeae. They formed to just get on stage and rock these monsterly progressive jamouts – and they do the job well.
These guys have been on the scene for a few years now and are really coming into the limelight. They will soon release a 9 track self titled EP and they have been blowing up the Atlanta festival scene this summer. They recently got to play and be interviewed on 99x’s local only program. They remind me of Mastadon with a more folky influence, not quite as heavy. I recommend checking them out when you can. We’ll have a review of their ne EP up VERY soon.
Miles from Pangaea – these guys are an instrumental progressive jazz sound. They have track after escalating track of staggering and free flowing jams (yes, that is
Graham Yoder from Jungol).
