We’re starting a new segment here at beatlanta.com and we need YOUR HELP. This will be a campaign to help get our friends in BearKnuckle (and other bands to come) some more fans on facebook. You can help first by heading to facebook to ‘like’ the band and also by sharing on facebook, twitter, etc. with your friends and asking them to do the same.
Every other day we’ll be releasing something new from the band; MP3s to stream or download, videos, new pics, lyrics, an interview and will end by giving away one of their new albums to a lucky fan. So help us out and show BearKnuckle what the Beatlanta community can do. We guarantee that you’ll like what you hear. These guys have played the beatlanta house a couple times now and their show is a loud, in your face SoundFuck experience.

lyrics:
Right here we stand alive today
Right here we stand alive today
From hand to ground you hear us pray
Right here we stand alive today
Just waiting for a new day
With righteous path for no fame
For all that we do pay
I just wanted to say
We plan on passing by your way soon
As soon as I find my way home
No design, or members to folder
There is no reason at all?
The one you seek with promise and virtue
Will rid your pain in one call
Open your eyes and you’ll see our real
Escaped from life and walls
I’ve got alot to say, but I don’t you’re listening
But you want to stray from everything that keeps control of you
This time I can’t say that I didn’t have a better try
This way let’s run for our lives and we’ll continue living what we call life
My mouth is sour from the taste of this textured bullshit on your tongue
I have a broken frame with an imagine of your one track mind
The hate you feel for me only comes from deep inside yourself
The that you take up is subject to change without my premise
We can, we see
We can, we see
We can, we see
We can, we’re free

Interview….
B: What made you branch out and start Bear Knuckle?
It’s something we’ve been wanting to do for 3 years, but we had several drummer issues and it finally started to work out last year and is continuing to go strong.
B: You have an album coming out in March – whats that called? Tell us about it.
Yes we have an EP coming out March 22 titled ” Lost Woods” is combination of songs created when we started BearKnuckle last year. It is Written, Recorded, Produced, Mixed, and Mastered all by BearKnuckle.
B: Whats your favorite song from the upcoming album – why?
We’re gonna pick two; Right of Passage and Hard Candy. Rite of Passage because it was written as one of our bass player and guitar player’s first songs when they were fifteen years old and was adapted for BearKnuckle. Hard Candy because it’s has a very timeless sound to it and has always received a great crowd reaction.
B: Any tour plans coming up in support of the album? Any upcoming local shows?
Yeah we have a few, mixing our album has taken a lot of gigging time off our hands. Our Album release will be at The Drunken Unicorn on Saturday, April 27th. We also play Morehouse College 3/28 and Alley Cat in Carrolton Ga 3/30 with the Abortions, Phossy Jaw, and Duende. We are planning a tour for mid May.
B: Why do you play music?
We have always been creative individuals. The arts and free thinking have always tended to influence our lives. Playing music is something amazing that has brought all of us together to create BearKnuckle.
B: Describe a Bear Knuckle Show.
A friend of ours once stated that BearKnuckle is like a furry fist to your face with sweat and guitar solos like the good old days.
B: Why should people be fans of Bear Knuckle?
We are very dedicated to ourselves and all have a strong passion for music. We write our songs with the intention to share them to the masses. We want to spread the energy that propels us through our musical adventures.
B: What local bands does BearKnuckle recommend to their fans?
Howling Star, Duende, The whole Hi-Jacking Music community, Laurasia, Verge of Bliss, The Antikythera Mechanism, Swank Sinatra and The Joy Kills.
B: How do you feel about the Atlanta rock scene?
It’s a great scene to be playing in. There is such a diverse group of individuals involved. The locals are all people who really support the music scene and make it possible for any of us to really speak.
B: Any closing thoughts you want folks to know about the band, your shows or any news you want to share?
We would like to say thank you to all of the people with Be Atlanta for the interview and support; as well as, all of our fans who have continued to support us over this past year. For the readers; please, if you enjoy our music and are drawn to what we are creating we would be grateful for your support. Please like us on facebook and share our page. We would love to see you all at one of our shows too.
