Band Bio: Throw rock, reggae, punk & pop into a blender, power it up & you get BALLYHOO!. Hailing from Aberdeen, MD this fun-loving foursome has been widely acclaimed by fans as “America’s Favorite Feel Good Party Band”, but it is their unparalleled hard work, hardcore devotion to the road & inexorable dedication to their fans that has earned them their place in the industry. BALLYHOO!’s music showcases their genuine ingenuity within their genre. Their sound is a exceptional merger of laidback reggae, furious punk, abstract alternative & catchy pop. Orchestrated by lead singer & guitarist Howi Spangler’s unique mix of blazing guitar riffs, soothing rhythms, thoughtful lyrics & sweet vocal magic, BALLYHOO!’s style escapes conventional classification. Robust, technically astounding bass lines fed by bass guitarist JR Gregory combined with the innovative undertones & effervescent overtones set forth by keyboardist & turntable wizard, Scott Vandrey (aka DJ Blaze), lend even more variance to BALLYHOO!’s already intricate sound.
