I’ve seen Siberia my Sweet several times over the past couple years. They’ve recently added Alec Irvin to their live show on acoustic drums and their sound has grown to include more rhythm and dance. I first called them the dark queens of Atlanta new wave…that label remains the same and adds a little electro dance-rock super star along side of it. In Nov 2010 they released the Alone EP. The 5 track EP was exceptionally received as the growth in confidence and skill is forefront in their new songs and ever awesome live performances. Luci Harrell has refined her guitar and adapted a dance rock approach to her new wave offerings. Kelly Andrews’ Siren-esque vocals have never disappointed and she remains as elegant and seductive in style as ever before. Her voice is simply…awesome. Together, Kelly Andrews (vocals, guitar), Erin Sellers (keys), Luci Harrell (guitar), along with Alec Irvin on live drums, create shimmering dance beats that are sure to please the most discriminating of concert goers. They’ve always had a steady and dedicated fan base that has only grown in size and loyalty. Ask around and its hard not to hear the name Siberia My Sweet.
