From Jeffery on the song – ‘The title of this song was inspired by the work of an oddball American writer named Harry Stephen Keeler. His books nearly all have great, memorable titles like; “The Riddle of the Traveling Skull”, “Finger! Finger!”, “Skull of the Waltzing Clown”, “The Case of the Transposed Leg”. He mostly wrote very strange web plot mysteries. (Imagine if David Lynch wrote a really long episode of Seinfeld) He is a never-ending inspiration to my work.
Musically, It was the first song I wrote on the accordion, I used to write on piano then record my parts on the accordion. Also, this was my “busiest” song to date (when I recorded it) I typically go for a more minimal sound, but for the 2nd section of the song I decided to layer it with guitars and bells. We play this song at most of our shows. It was recently included on a compilation released by AcidsoXX records.’
