STREAM :: New Track from A Perfect Circle – “So Long, and Thanks for All The Fish.”

At first I was a bit taken aback by the sound of this song as it seems like a clear break from A Perfect Circle’s usual dark motifs. But take a couple listens and examine the lyrics and you find a slightly brutal take on humanity, modernity and commercialism…and singer Maynard James Keenan mentions David Bowie, Gene Wilder, Muhammad Ali and Carrie Fisher to get the point across. The instrumentals on the track are a constant build up and come across as almost anthem or orchestra like. The new album “Eat the Elephant” comes out this Friday 4/20. 4 Tracks, including this one are already available for streaming on the various services. You can select the other new tracks from APC when the video ends.
