This Piano Plays Itself – Estoria August 4, 2009I saw This Piano Plays Itself play Estoria the other night. It was an amazing show, the bar was packed, and everyone had a good time. The best part of the show was when Jayson picked up a trombone and another member took a sax and they broke it down with some horns. Adam from beatlanta managed to get some questions over to Jayson Nix from This Piano Plays Itself, asking him about the tour…

Which town was the most welcoming? What was the best venue you played and where?

Pontiac Michigan. House show. Need I say more?

What was your favorite band you played with?

We played with the Bronzed chorus in Durham. My favorite by far.

Which town partied hardest?

Pontiac Michigan. House show. Need I say more.

How did this tour compare to the last?

Well our last “tour” was only 5 days and this one was 20 days so I guess you could say it was 4 times better.

Did you play any new material this tour? What was it?

I think we played all new material. “What was it?”…..hmmmm, I guess you could say it’s heavy as shit with the ability to melt ones ears off their god damned face leaving them to walk the earth an earless freak. Sorry freak but that’s how we roll.

How long was the tour? How many towns/venues did you hit up?

Tour was 20 days and 20 nights. Venues came and went, it was all a blur so I can’t really recall the exact number but it somewhere near 20. Definitely not more than 24. That’s the highest number. 24.
