Atlanta band Anthem at the beatlanta house

We had never heard of Anthem (they’re now called Night Meets Day) when we booked them to play but it turned out pretty rad. I was out on the front deck (where you can still hear the music) when they started and by the end of their 2nd song we had folks coming out and insisting that we be inside to see what was happening. What it was was a hip hop, guitar fusion sound reminiscent of The Cool Kids swaggy style. Two singers trade off while a dude in the back does keys and drums and the air is filled with wavy, almost psychedelic beats. In one song a soft, soul filled woman (sorry I didn’t catch her name) joined them on stage to add her vocals. Overall, I’d say Anthem has somethin started. The video has a few blips in it but…
