Gates / doors open at 10 p.m. and the bonfire is lit at 11 p.m. Hence the event name “Bonfire”.
Each week this free-spirited event highlights 4 to 5 local artists. There are vendors, DJ’s, a skate park and indie artists galore. Bonfire is a party for all. And as much as this is a weekly party, the professionalism displayed by the “Bonfire” team should never be forgotten.
The strong and hard-working ladies and gentlemen of The Dirty Boy Social Club (DBSC) and The Dirty Girl Social Club (DGSC) make this event a success every week through blood, sweat and tears; but we never see the work that goes into making the Bonfire party seamless.
With the same expectations behind the scenes as all concerts, Bonfire requires the performing artist to maintain the same type of respect for the show. Sound check is a couple of hours before doors open. Being selected to perform at Bonfire is an honor for people. Getting to this indie stage takes dedication. Apart from Bonfire, the DBSC and the DGSC have created 20 opportunities monthly for indie artists to perform. The DBSC and the DGSC have certain requirements before an artist is selected to perform at Bonfire. The team is not being mean, they are very versed in global and indie music and are very selective. Keep this in mind when reaching out.
Join BeAtlanta each and every Sunday at BonfireATL. We will be out covering the most exciting weekly party in Atlanta and interviewing indie artists making a difference on the Atlanta music scene.
