A good friend recommended for me to check out Bird Dog Jubilee… Aisle 5 is a just a couple blocks away from my house, the venue has been known for supporting some of the most solid sounds in Atlanta. Bird Dog Jubilee was the headliner for this past Friday night’s show.
I slowly melted into the jam sounds with them. Upon arrival the band was super loud and the venue was somewhat full of people. I worked my way towards the back and took a hit of my medicinal vape pen. The lights where going crazy, and I really enjoyed the mix of people in the crowd.
The songs they performed where full of deep drum hits, long piano jamming tunes , great loud vocals ( the main singer/guitarist led the band with passionate singing). The music was great. It had great sticky juicy jamming vibes. I kept getting lost in a spiral of sounds and it brought memories from when I used to be a Phish head.
Half way through the show I was sitting on a chair straight chilling, listening to some good piano jam. It was that type of music, you could just lay back and close your eyes to. The show was solid. The band put a hell of a show together for the crowd. This was my first time enjoying their music.
The piano guy, for a moment, was mixing electronic tunes with his piano and producing great melodies that would make you want to dance around and just go with the flow.
Currently Residing in the Eastside of Atlanta, Bird Dog Jubilee, the band met in college at Georgia Tech/ Auburn University. These are long-time friends that have come together for the same passion. I met with the band through the drummer towards the end of the closing of the venue. The drummer from Bird Dog Jubilee told me I could help around and share mutually. All of the band members were rapidly packing to go to a house and keep partying. I helped move and slowly some of them vanished with the night. Bird Dog Jubilee didn’t have any other shows planned for Atlanta as of now, but one in Athens, Georgia. Kyle the bassist warmed up to me and shared his love for music, good beer and Atlanta.
