New Band – THE SECRET SHAKES – live from Wonderroot

A few weeks back beatlanta hosted a show at Wonderroot. True to our nature, we had a wide array of bands that all complimented each other in various ways. The bands were talented and diverse. Opening the show was a brand new band (this was their second show) made up of various members of other local bands called The Secret Shakes. They were a pleasant surprise of jazz inspired punk, funk rock. The Secret Shakes featured soaring, awe prompting guitar solos and an all around just straight rock and roll feel… mixed with a lot of hip hop and r&b with jazz undertones. The result produced is an original and genuine sound that never leaves you wondering. The vocals were energetic and on par and the singer jumped and danced around on stage like a true vocalist should. Here are couple vids from the show…?
