The Beatlanta Garden: Lettuce Abound

Here is a picture of our lettuce bed from this week. We have meals and meals to still eat and we’ve already eaten a ton of salad. Get some lettuce from the garden, add some strawberries and beans from the garden, throw in some lean grilled chicken and BAM! Dinner.  This bed features a mesclun mix, Arugula and Chard. Chard is a bit bitter to eat by itself so mix it with other lettuces or use as a wrap.

Growing lettuce is quite easy in Georgia and you can grow it too. Comment with any questions you might have. We’re happy to help you get started – we’ll even come help setup up your bed if you ask nicely :)-
